Novo Hamburgo SA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Corbett Alonso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gerson Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Paulista's Augusto Paranaense. But to his dismay, Augusto Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 17th minute, Augusto Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerson Bittencourt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Gerson Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Paranaense got free with Gerson Bittencourt in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Corbett Alonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerson Bittencourt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Gerson Bittencourt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Ödman in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Marquinhos Pena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gerson Bittencourt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Guerra in the 86th minute of play forced Novo Hamburgo SA's goalkeeper Gerson Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Augusto Paranaense notched a goal, 0-15, to the right of Novo Hamburgo SA's Gerson Bittencourt. Gerson Bittencourt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Novo Hamburgo SA defense, Isak Kongebro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerson Bittencourt. The Novo Hamburgo SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerson Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Novo Hamburgo SA's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Soares came free, but Gerson Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 98 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Kauan Guerra made it 0-17 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerson Bittencourt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clube Atlético Paulista's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
