With a little luck, Novo Hamburgo SA's Gerson Bittencourt got control of the ball when José Maria Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The wind increased when Daniel Siggman made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jonathan Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Rui Arruda made a precise shot to the right of Gerson Bittencourt. Novo Hamburgo SA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to Novo Hamburgo SA getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Wilson Paraíba hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Novo Hamburgo SA's zone, Noel Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Bittencourt came out of the goal and Noel Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Novo Hamburgo SA's Gerson Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Alves in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Novo Hamburgo SA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Wilson Paraíba hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Campestre had played much better football throughout.
