In the 2nd minute of the match Dário Leme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Falcão Goiano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 4th minute Noel Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Goiano made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Eugênio Macedo sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 7 minutes, Eugênio Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AD.MANTHIQUEIRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When José Ignacio Angulo came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the AD.MANTHIQUEIRA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Ignacio Angulo couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, AD.MANTHIQUEIRA's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alves came free, but Samuel da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, AD.MANTHIQUEIRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Leme to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Campestre booed when AD.MANTHIQUEIRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Dorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Alves struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Samuel da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campestre. After 36 minutes, Jonathan Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Campestre and the AD.MANTHIQUEIRA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Campestre's Jonathan Alves got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Campestre's goal looked a bit too open when José Ignacio Angulo came free, but Falcão Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Eugênio Macedo lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Falcão Goiano. Falcão Goiano was a little too slow when Dário Leme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0.

The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AD.MANTHIQUEIRA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Campestre had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
