Dorian Sergipano came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Horizonte's Matías Recife. But to his dismay, Matías Recife quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Clóvis Machado made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Dênis Prado sent off a good shot on target. João Adolfo Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Adolfo Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dorian Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Salgado's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After 23 minutes of play, Horizonte's Matías Recife made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorian Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Frank Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored thurusbengus's protests and gave Frank Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes thurusbengus got a freekick which was hit by Frank Campidelis. After a defensive mix-up in thurusbengus's zone, Matías Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian Sergipano came out of the goal and Matías Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the thurusbengus defense, Diego Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorian Sergipano. The thurusbengus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorian Sergipano should have stopped the shot. thurusbengus's Dorian Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Recife in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

thurusbengus's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Matías Recife 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Dorian Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Recife in the 60th minute of the match. Cássio Ortiz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Oséas Bastos hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. thurusbengus's Dênis Prado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Horizonte. Dorian Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matías Recife in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorian Sergipano saved thurusbengus from getting behind. Dorian Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 95th minute, Diego Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorian Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Salgado went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Horizonte's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
