Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jabaquara SC's Paulão Diniz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernest Amiti hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão Diniz in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basílio Meira saved Congonhinhas from getting behind. Paulão Diniz took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basílio Meira. Basílio Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Paulão Diniz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Congonhinhas's Basílio Meira. Basílio Meira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Jabaquara SC booed when Congonhinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Fenomeno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basílio Meira having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Diniz in the 25th minute of play forced Congonhinhas's goalkeeper Basílio Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulinho Fenomeno took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basílio Meira. Basílio Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 31 minutes into the match, Congonhinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Diniz came free, but Basílio Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Paulão Diniz put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Basílio Meira. When Jabaquara SC's Paulão Diniz in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Congonhinhas's Basílio Meira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Marcos Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Jabaquara SC's Diego Mourato tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Jabaquara SC fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Jabaquara SC's Paulão Diniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Paulão Diniz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Basílio Meira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jabaquara SC's Paulão Diniz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 97th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The Congonhinhas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jabaquara SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
