After a rather tough play, Crichas's Luiz Fábio Toledo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Alfredo Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute of the match Dé Linares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diego Mattos skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Chicão de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argenita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th match minute, Crichas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Argenita FC's Hílton das Neves shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Afonsinho Cunha but with some difficulty. Afonsinho Cunha made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Chicão de Souza sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Crichas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Chicão de Souza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chicão de Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Crichas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Crichas's Afonsinho Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Crichas from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, José Pedro Braga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Diego Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Crichas booed when Argenita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hílton das Neves's late challenge caught a Crichas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hílton das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Argenita FC's Hílton das Neves got a free kick in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Crichas's goalkeeper Afonsinho Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chicão de Souza. Laércio Pontes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Afonsinho Cunha came out and tried to block the shot, but Laércio Pontes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Laércio Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonsinho Cunha was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chicão de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, one of Crichas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Crichas. In the 66th match minute, Crichas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Braga to maneuver through the defense. Diego Mattos made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when José Pedro Braga sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Argenita FC booed when Crichas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonsinho Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
