The supporters of Regina FC booed when Argenita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argenita FC's Diego Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Nascimento in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Luiz Guilherme Mazza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 9th minute Pedrinho Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Mazza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Diego Mattos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With an all-out effort, Regina FC's Diego Mattos threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedrinho Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Argenita FC's Diego Mattos got control of the ball when Douglas Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chicão de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Chicão de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Chicão de Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enio Falcão. Regina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chicão de Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pedrinho Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Mattos having to make a save. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Argenita FC's goalkeeper Diego Mattos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Regina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão de Souza came free, but Enio Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enio Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William Vianna hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Regina FC's Pedrinho Nascimento pulled a muscle in his leg after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ronaldinho Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Regina FC made a substitution. Wiliam Guimarães replaced Pedrinho Nascimento. In a very dangerous position, a player in Argenita FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! 45 minutes into the match, Argenita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Guimarães came free, but Diego Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match, Chicão de Souza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enio Falcão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Argenita FC's Diego Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Guimarães in the 58th minute of play. If Luiz Guilherme Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wiliam Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronaldinho Neiva hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Regina FC's Inácio Proença got a free kick in the 74th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Regina FC's goalkeeper Enio Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chicão de Souza. Wiliam Guimarães walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Guimarães in the 84th minute of play forced Argenita FC's goalkeeper Diego Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Diego Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Leme in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Chicão de Souza could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Enio Falcão however easily saved by the left post. Vito Miranda hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the match Luiz Guilherme Mazza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diego Mattos skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Argenita FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
