Crichas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 6th minute, one of Jacarezinho Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jacarezinho Futebol Clube. The referee gave Crichas a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Váldson Brodel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jacarezinho Futebol Clube's Patrick Machado. 0-1. Afonsinho Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cacá Peixoto in the 12th minute. After 16 played minutes Osvaldo Ferraz rounded Crichas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 19 minutes into the game, Cacá Peixoto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Afonsinho Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Robinho Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Silvério Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Machado. Jacarezinho Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jacarezinho Futebol Clube's Patrick Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Peres in the 29th minute of play. José Pedro Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Patrick Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Osvaldo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Jacarezinho Futebol Clube defense, Silvério Peres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Machado. The Jacarezinho Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Machado should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvério Peres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 59 minutes, Osvaldo Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacarezinho Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Crichas's José Pedro Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrick Machado. Patrick Machado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. When José Pedro Braga came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Crichas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Braga couldn't finish the play. Silvério Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Jacarezinho Futebol Clube's Cacá Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonsinho Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Cacá Peixoto took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonsinho Cunha. Afonsinho Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Silvério Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Crichas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
