The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Faria to make the kick off. Carlos Augusto de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
