After 2 played minutes Albano got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Arce. 5 minutes into the game, Clóvis de Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool FC the free kick. Diego Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Tande in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráuzio Tande to maneuver through the defense. Durvalino Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Braga didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Albano's Diego Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Albano from getting a goal against them. Durvalino Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Carneiro in the 20th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Tiaguinho Linhares in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Albano's Serginho Peres. 24 minutes into the match, Albano's goalkeeper Diego Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durvalino Matorin. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Albano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durvalino Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Matorin in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Braga saved Albano from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Raí Furtado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diego Braga, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Augusto de Barros to make the kick off. Ronaldão Bueno made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dráuzio Tande immediately put the ball in play. Diego Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 63 minutes, Serginho Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albano and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Serginho Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Albano's zone, Dráuzio Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Braga came out of the goal and Dráuzio Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albano's Diego Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Furtado in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Albano defense, Raí Furtado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Braga. The Albano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Braga should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Albano's goal looked a bit too open when Raí Furtado came free, but Diego Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Albano got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Arce. When the referee ended the match the Liverpool FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
