Simão Miranda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Cirilo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Murilo Cavalcante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Ceresso skillfully saved the ball. Flávio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jano de Carvalho in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jano de Carvalho in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Silveira made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Murilo Cavalcante however managed to control. Simão Miranda's late challenge caught a Itororo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. Davi Nunes, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. André Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho França in the 33rd minute of play. Flávio de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Simão Miranda sent off a good shot on target. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Marcel Silveira with Augusto Nogueira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jano de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jano de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio de Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Serginho França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Itororo's Marcel Silveira got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

56 minutes into the match, Simão Miranda notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Itororo's Flávio de Azevedo. Flávio de Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Simão Miranda was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. 76 minutes into the match, Itororo's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio do Vale came free, but Flávio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cirilo EC's zone, Eliézer Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Ceresso came out of the goal and Eliézer Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Guerra in the 83rd minute of play. If Serginho França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
