The corner ended in Charles Azevedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GMDuarte 82's Daniel Xavier did a great save. In the 10th minute Luciano Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Charles Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cirilo EC and the GMDuarte 82 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute of the match, Luiz Fábio Gaúcho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Ceresso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laércio Almeida during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Laércio Almeida hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. André Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Atilano Mattin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. GMDuarte 82's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 25th match minute, GMDuarte 82 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valérien Klopp to maneuver through the defense. Atilano Mattin struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. André Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GMDuarte 82. Atilano Mattin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Mattin, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Luciano Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirilo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Luiz Fábio Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Jano de Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Xavier. GMDuarte 82's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jano de Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fábio Gaúcho made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in GMDuarte 82's zone, Luciano Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Xavier came out of the goal and Luciano Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute of the game Luiz Fábio de Senna made a throw-in which Simão Miranda played forward. Jano de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jano de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Xavier was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Mandrak in the 62nd minute of play forced GMDuarte 82's goalkeeper Daniel Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes GMDuarte 82's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jano de Carvalho who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Jano de Carvalho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Xavier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jano de Carvalho in the 75th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Jano de Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Xavier was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 85 played minutes Cirilo EC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Mandrak. 86 minutes into the match, Atilano Mattin notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Cirilo EC's André Ceresso. André Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to GMDuarte 82 getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Zé Carlos Costa hit a great ball. Jano de Carvalho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Xavier came out and tried to block the shot, but Jano de Carvalho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 91st minute. Chants of Cirilo EC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as GMDuarte 82 had held the ball for most of the match.
