Ettore Pennetta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of S.E.Palmeiras booed when S.C. S.E.Palmeiras's Ettore Pennetta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Ettore Pennetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C. In the 86th match minute, S.E.Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Silveira to maneuver through the defense. When Francisco de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.Palmeiras's protests and gave Francisco de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Francisco de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.E.Palmeiras's attentive Eriberto Abreu managed to snatch the ball when Vicente Furtado made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game.
