After 13 minutes, Duarte Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irajá Atlético Clube and the Curvello EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Curvello EC booed when Irajá Atlético Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Curvello EC's Zé Pedro Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Carneiro in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Irajá Atlético Clube's zone, Diamantino Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kang Qing Sha came out of the goal and Diamantino Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Irajá Atlético Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
