The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Bauru Atlético Clube's Otávio Tavares got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Soberano FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Amauri Tavares hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Soberano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Braga came free, but Vinícius Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Otávio Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Otávio Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Diguinho Braga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinícius Capixaba. Soberano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diguinho Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otávio Tavares in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinícius Capixaba saved Soberano FC from getting behind. After having played for 40 minutes, Otávio Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bauru Atlético Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otávio Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Capixaba having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Otávio Tavares made the kick off in the second half. Bauru Atlético Clube's Otávio Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacinto Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Magalhães in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Soberano FC's Celso Leme got a free kick in the 57th minute. A hard shot 62 in the game by Diguinho Braga from a close distance when the talented Vinícius Capixaba managed to make a qualified save. Soberano FC's players were relieved. Diguinho Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vinícius Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinícius Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinícius Capixaba was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Otávio Tavares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 75 minute of play. In the 78th minute, Bauru Atlético Clube's Otávio Tavares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 84th match minute, Soberano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Sá to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Soberano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Tavares came free, but Vinícius Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soberano FC's Vinícius Capixaba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Soberano FC from getting a goal against them. When André Luiz Maciel fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bauru Atlético Clube's protests and gave André Luiz Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. Vinícius Capixaba was a little too slow when Otávio Tavares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Bauru Atlético Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Soberano FC.
