Erasmo de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Teameme FC's Laércio Guerra. But to his dismay, Laércio Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Laércio Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, São Petersburgo FC's Nilton Alagoano got a free kick in the 13th minute. Erasmo de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Gildo Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lewis Whatley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildo Mangueira got free with Innokentiy Zimin in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Teameme FC's goalkeeper Innokentiy Zimin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugênio Meirelles. Erasmo de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Whatley, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the São Petersburgo FC defense, Laércio Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erasmo de Azevedo. The São Petersburgo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erasmo de Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Laércio Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo de Azevedo having to interfere. When Laércio Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Teameme FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Guerra couldn't finish the play. Erasmo de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewis Whatley in the 44th minute of the match. Innokentiy Zimin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Meirelles in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Eugênio Meirelles made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Lewis Whatley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but São Petersburgo FC's Erasmo de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lewis Whatley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Whatley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. São Petersburgo FC's Erasmo de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save São Petersburgo FC from getting a goal against them. If Lewis Whatley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lewis Whatley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lewis Whatley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Lewis Whatley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lewis Whatley was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Teameme FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Laércio Guerra struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Erasmo de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teameme FC. Lewis Whatley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo de Azevedo having to interfere. Marcus Veloso struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Erasmo de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teameme FC. The supporters of São Petersburgo FC booed when Teameme FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Innokentiy Zimin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Meirelles in the 96th minute of play. Teameme FC played a much better game than São Petersburgo FC and deserved their victory. The São Petersburgo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
