The Mariluz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yan Carneiro should have stopped the shot. Ricardinho Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Luiz Fábio Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, CASTANHEIRA F.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Rodrigues. If Baldomero Belasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Nardo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Yan Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CASTANHEIRA F.C.. Emiliano Nardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anísio Tepedino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Fábio Peres came out and tried to block the shot, but Anísio Tepedino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute, Manoel Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Nardo in the 31st minute of play forced Mariluz FC's goalkeeper Yan Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Nardo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yan Carneiro saved Mariluz FC from getting behind. If Manoel Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emiliano Nardo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariluz FC's goalkeeper Yan Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Emiliano Nardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Emiliano Nardo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Nardo in the 56th minute of play forced Mariluz FC's goalkeeper Yan Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Baldomero Belasko came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the CASTANHEIRA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Belasko couldn't finish the play. After 88 minutes, Eduardo de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariluz FC and the CASTANHEIRA F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. CASTANHEIRA F.C.'s Emiliano Nardo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Mariluz FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
