Bahadır Serbülend made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bahadır Serbülend made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Trancoso in the 40th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurício Miranda was the one to do the kick off. In the 69th minute Guga Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Serbülend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mário Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tijucal FC's Mário Faria got a free kick in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tijucal FC's Fernando Cardoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lenílson Barbosa. That made the score 1-3 after 74 minutes of play. Bahadır Serbülend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Garcia in the 83rd minute of play. Caropanatuba's Lenílson Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Caropanatuba from getting a goal against them. Guga Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Tijucal FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Caropanatuba.
