Otávio Proença took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lenílson Barbosa. Caropanatuba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lenílson Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Henrique Trancoso could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Renatinho de Queiroz however easily saved by the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Quadros was the one to do the kick off. Zeca Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renatinho de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Trancoso in the 96th minute of play. Caropanatuba were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
