João Adolfo Gaspar scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Trigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Cláudio Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doctor X's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esporte Clube Bahia the free kick. Cláudio Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Esporte Clube Bahia's Kiko Maciel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Zé Prestes notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Doctor X's Luís Trigo. Luís Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 minutes of play, Esporte Clube Bahia's Kiko Maciel made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Trigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 played minutes Doctor X got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Ceresso. 41 minutes into the match, Doctor X's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Prestes came free, but Luís Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Prestes in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Doctor X's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Maciel came free, but Luís Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Chaves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. A collision led to Doctor X getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Cássio Chaves hit a great ball. Luís Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Doctor X players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esporte Clube Bahia were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Augusto Prestes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Prestes took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Trigo. Luís Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Kiko Maciel took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Luís Trigo to make any attempt to save it. Luís Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Gaspar in the 66th minute of the match. When João Adolfo Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Esporte Clube Bahia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Adolfo Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Kiko Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Luís Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natanael Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Prestes in the 77th minute of play. Silvério Berger's late challenge caught a Esporte Clube Bahia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvério Berger helped the player get up and apologised. 86 minutes into the match, Zé Prestes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Trigo. Doctor X's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Prestes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. João Adolfo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Luís Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Luís Trigo made a huge save. Doctor X's Luís Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Adolfo Gaspar in the 95th minute of play. Zé Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Luís Trigo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Doctor X's zone, João Adolfo Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Trigo came out of the goal and João Adolfo Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esporte Clube Bahia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
