Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Juninho Abreu took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th match minute, Palestina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Cruz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Palestina defense, Carlos Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ezequiel do Valle. The Palestina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ezequiel do Valle should have stopped the shot. Claudinho Abreu stood somewhat misplaced when Vitório Linhares came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 9 minute. EC Caucaia's Claudinho Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save EC Caucaia from getting a goal against them. Ezequiel do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juninho Abreu in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel do Valle saved Palestina from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Américo Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elói Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Palestina's Elói Ribeiro in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EC Caucaia's goalie prevented a goal. After 30 played minutes Palestina got a freekick which was hit by Elói Ribeiro. Ezequiel do Valle came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by EC Caucaia's Diego Quadros. But to his dismay, Diego Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Diego Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Caucaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ezequiel do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Abreu in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute Juninho Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EC Caucaia's Claudinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Ribeiro in the 44th minute of play. Juninho Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Elói Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Palestina's corner Aleandro Zilles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claudinho Abreu quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Palestina's Ezequiel do Valle got control of the ball when Aníbal Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ezequiel do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Abreu in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute EC Caucaia were awarded a corner. Carlos Madureira went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Diego Quadros to score against Ezequiel do Valle in Palestina's goal. 1-3 after 62 minutes. Aníbal Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel do Valle having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Palestina's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Quadros came free, but Ezequiel do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Palestina got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Carvalho. 76 minutes into the match, Juninho Abreu notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Palestina's Ezequiel do Valle. Ezequiel do Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute Vitório Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vitório Linhares went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. After having played for 88 minutes, Gugu Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Caucaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 89 minutes of play Palestina's Elói Ribeiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 90th minute, Elói Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juninho Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ezequiel do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EC Caucaia. EC Caucaia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
