Camerino Lavalle was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Botafogo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kléberson de Salles hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The long shot by Frank Teixeira in the 7th minute really tested Horácio Hermes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Horácio Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camerino Lavalle in the 12th minute of the match. Zé Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Botafogo got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pena. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Camerino Lavalle put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Horácio Hermes. A collision led to Botafogo getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Caetano Saad hit a great ball. With a little luck, AC Cecchetto's Horácio Hermes got control of the ball when 蒋扬谦 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Ricky Baby notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of AC Cecchetto's Horácio Hermes. Horácio Hermes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chico Messias made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by 蒋扬谦. In the 33rd minute, Delfim do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camerino Lavalle scored 4-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horácio Hermes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 36 minutes, Camerino Lavalle made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. AC Cecchetto's Horácio Hermes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Horácio Hermes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haritz Trespuentes in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delfim do Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Botafogo's protests and gave Geoffroy Dominguez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AC Cecchetto booed when Botafogo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoffroy Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Guerra hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes, Botafogo's Frank Teixeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horácio Hermes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Botafogo reached it. In the 58th minute, Camerino Lavalle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botafogo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Haritz Trespuentes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Hermes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Horácio Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camerino Lavalle in the 62nd minute of play. Horácio Hermes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Botafogo's Haritz Trespuentes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to AC Cecchetto getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camerino Lavalle in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Hermes saved AC Cecchetto from getting behind. 蒋扬谦 scored 12-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horácio Hermes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Haritz Trespuentes made a precise shot to the right of Horácio Hermes. AC Cecchetto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. Horácio Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Baby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88th play minutes Camerino Lavalle shot 14-0, a short shot which went by Horácio Hermes and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in AC Cecchetto's zone, Haritz Trespuentes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Hermes came out of the goal and Haritz Trespuentes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Botafogo fully deserved thier win.
