Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bodoco's Fausto Terra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Bodoco getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Orlando Valladares hit a great ball. Carlos Madureira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Ferreira having to make a save. Gugu Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gabriel Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bodoco fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Bodoco's Orlando Valladares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 22 minutes into the match, Bodoco's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Abreu came free, but Gabriel Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Bodoco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. Claudinho Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juninho Abreu scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 32 played minutes Bodoco got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Pimenta. Rui Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Ferreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Gugu Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Claudinho Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. EC Caucaia's Claudinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Terra in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

56 minutes into the match, Rui Torres notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Bodoco's Gabriel Ferreira. Gabriel Ferreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bodoco's Gabriel Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Abreu in the 62nd minute of play. Gabriel Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Gugu Cordeiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Gabriel Ferreira however easily saved by the left post. Juninho Abreus short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Gabriel Ferreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Aníbal Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the EC Caucaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Aparecido couldn't finish the play. Gugu Cordeiro scored 1-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 79 in the game by Juninho Abreu from a close distance when the talented Gabriel Ferreira managed to make a qualified save. Bodoco's players were relieved. Gabriel Ferreira was a little too slow when Juninho Abreu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-4. Diego Quadros's late challenge caught a Bodoco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Quadros helped the player get up and apologised. Juninho Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Aníbal Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. EC Caucaia's Juninho Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
