Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ernani de Queiroz kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Passaros EC's goal looked a bit too open when Juarês Coelho came free, but Doriva Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Diego Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Doriva Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlinhos Pontes lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Passaros EC! Diego Leal's late challenge caught a Passaros EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Leal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Diego Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juarês Coelho in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doriva Catarinense saved Passaros EC from getting behind. Doriva Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lenílson Marquez during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st minute of the match Gino Abraão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doriva Catarinense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zeca Senna made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Lenílson Marquez sent off a good shot on target. Doriva Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Valqueire Futebol Clube defense, Lenílson Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Senna. The Valqueire Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Senna should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Recife to make the kick off. Ernani de Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernani de Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. Zeca Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani de Queiroz in the 53rd minute of the match. Passaros EC's Ernani de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juarês Coelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Doriva Catarinense came out and tried to block the shot, but Juarês Coelho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. Gino Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Marcos Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Passaros EC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Marcos Rossi hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Leal got free with Doriva Catarinense in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adilson Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doriva Catarinense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adilson Recife ran back to his position shaking his head. Lenílson Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valqueire Futebol Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
