Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dráusio Azevedo made the kick off which started today's match. Víktor Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristóvão Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Baptista went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cristóvão Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Ribeiro in the 17th minute of play. Ciro Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Vitório Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristóvão Félix. Morro Grande FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 24th minute of the match, Elói Ribeiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristóvão Félix saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Palestina's Elói Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristóvão Félix. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. 29 minutes into the match, Elói Ribeiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristóvão Félix, 4-0. Dráusio Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ezequiel do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betão Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristóvão Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Baptista in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestina's goalkeeper Ezequiel do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elói Ribeiro made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Morro Grande FC's Dráusio Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ezequiel do Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Dráusio Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel do Valle having to interfere. Cristóvão Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Márcio Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristóvão Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Ribeiro in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Morro Grande FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Linhares came free, but Cristóvão Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Ciro Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Betão Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Palestina's zone, Betão Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel do Valle came out of the goal and Betão Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Palestina got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Passos. A collision led to Morro Grande FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gláuber Abraão hit a great ball. Dráusio Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráusio Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Morro Grande FC got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Azevedo. When Elói Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Palestina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Palestina's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
