Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Juninho Abreu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristóvão Félix came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Caucaia's Juninho Abreu. But to his dismay, Juninho Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a little luck, Morro Grande FC's Cristóvão Félix got control of the ball when Aníbal Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristóvão Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Dráusio Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Cristóvão Félix successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 27 minutes into the game, Diego Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EC Caucaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morro Grande FC the free kick. In the 27th minute, Diego Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dráusio Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morro Grande FC's Cristóvão Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Aparecido in the 30th minute of play. Carlos Madureira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristóvão Félix came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Madureira slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 31st minute. A collision led to EC Caucaia getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Carlos Madureira hit a great ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Dráusio Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morro Grande FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráusio Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute of the match, Gugu Cordeiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cristóvão Félix was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Morro Grande FC's Cristóvão Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Madureira in the 39th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Betão Varela put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Morro Grande FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of EC Caucaia:s goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráusio Azevedo made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Rui Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Félix was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After 54 minutes of play, EC Caucaia's Diego Quadros made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristóvão Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristóvão Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Aníbal Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristóvão Félix. Morro Grande FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Aparecido in the 62nd minute of play forced Morro Grande FC's goalkeeper Cristóvão Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Quadros in the 65th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Morro Grande FC defense, Carlos Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristóvão Félix. The Morro Grande FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Félix should have stopped the shot. Cristóvão Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Aníbal Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Morro Grande FC's zone, Carlos Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Félix came out of the goal and Carlos Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Madureira in the 78th minute of play. Cristóvão Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Abreu in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Dráusio Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dráusio Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Morro Grande FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Cristóvão Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Madureira in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute Aníbal Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EC Caucaia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
