Wellington Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Soulis Papadopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the BIRUTI FC defense, Felipe Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duda Pena. The BIRUTI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duda Pena should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Maria Sampaio during the 23rd minute. When José Maria Sampaio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.E.Bangu! With an all-out effort, BIRUTI FC's Soulis Papadopoulos threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bebeto Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Duda Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan de Lara in the 36th minute of the match. Duda Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan de Lara in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Felipe Lago notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of BIRUTI FC's Duda Pena. Duda Pena made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Felipe Lago sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the match, BIRUTI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luan de Lara came free, but Duda Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.E.Bangu's Luan de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the game, Fausto Vander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Duda Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Duda Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, BIRUTI FC's goalkeeper Duda Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benê Costa. In the 95th minute, Ismael Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, S.E.Bangu's Luan de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duda Pena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. S.E.Bangu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
