Spectators: 7441 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 100) BIRUTI FC's Afonsinho Fontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Fontes in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Ademir Guia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duda Pena. BIRUTI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ademir Guia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Afonsinho Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jorge Mendonça hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ismael Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Valdir Pérez made a huge save. Duda Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Saldanha in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Ademir Guia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of BIRUTI FC's Duda Pena. Duda Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laércio Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ismael Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Pérez having to interfere. In the 37th minute Jorge Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute União Verde FC were awarded a corner. Gil Paiva went to the cornerflag to take it. 42 minutes into the match, Laércio Damião notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of BIRUTI FC's Duda Pena. Duda Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Mendonça during the 45th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Fontes came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Guia came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Duda Pena could save by the left post. After 62 played minutes BIRUTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Lara. Duda Pena came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by União Verde FC's Laércio Damião. But to his dismay, Laércio Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Matheus Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matheus Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matheus Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ademir Guia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Pena having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Jorge Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BIRUTI FC's Duda Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save BIRUTI FC from getting a goal against them. Duda Pena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademir Guia in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Alves came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of BIRUTI FC booed when União Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball.
