When Severino da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Babi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. After 7 minutes, Dida Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cyber Soccer Curitiba and the Babi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cyber Soccer Curitiba's Dida Vaz got a free kick in the 7th minute. Geovanni Nuness short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Elias Munhoz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Severino da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Abraão having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cyber Soccer Curitiba's zone, Reynaldo Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Abraão came out of the goal and Reynaldo Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severino da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Benjamim Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Babi. In the 23rd minute, Reynaldo Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Severino da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Babi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cyber Soccer Curitiba's Claudinho Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Benjamim Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luisão Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Cyber Soccer Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Brasil came free, but Benjamim Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Noel Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cyber Soccer Curitiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cyber Soccer Curitiba's Benjamim Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Cyber Soccer Curitiba from getting a goal against them. After 93 minutes, Hudson Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cyber Soccer Curitiba and the Babi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Babi's Elias Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Arósio in the 95th minute of play. Cyber Soccer Curitiba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Babi for a fine match.
