Dida Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dida Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nação Rubro-negra F.C getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. After 10 minutes of play, Nação Rubro-negra F.C's Yuri Galvão made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Otsoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Yuri Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nação Rubro-negra F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Otsoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Maurinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Michael Lindell charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Michael Lindell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karl-Michael Lindell hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Goianinho FC's Ismael Otsoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dida Tasso in the 25th minute of play. Germano Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Cosme in the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Maurinho Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goianinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurinho Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurinho Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Germano Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42ndth minute of the game Maurinho Cosme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nação Rubro-negra F.C's Germano Donatello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Goianinho FC's Maurinho Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Goianinho FC's goalkeeper Ismael Otsoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dida Tasso. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Carlinhos Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Zenon Kosmatka hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Germano Donatello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurinho Cosme went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Maurinho Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Donatello having to interfere. When Eduardo Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goianinho FC's protests and gave Eduardo Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, Goianinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Otsoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Tasso in the 94th minute of the match. Maurinho Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Donatello having to interfere. The Nação Rubro-negra F.C support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
