Acácio Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Santo Expedito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Mesquita came free, but Lenílson Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Altonia's Reynaldo Brasil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lenílson Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino da Fonseca got free with Lenílson Vargas in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lenílson Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenílson Vargas made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Severino da Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th match minute, Altonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Severino da Fonseca in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lenílson Vargas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Severino da Fonseca came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lenílson Vargas could save by the left post. Róbson das Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Róbson das Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Altonia got a freekick which was hit by Róbson das Neves. The Santo Expedito FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Altonia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
