In the 11th minute Fabiano Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermínio Maranhense in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tarcisio Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicolas Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Loureiro in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Padilha FC's Nicolas Hoffmann got control of the ball when Duarte Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Soeiro in the 25th minute of play forced Gomão EC's goalkeeper Tarcisio Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Duarte Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Hoffmann having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Gomão EC's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Soeiro came free, but Tarcisio Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Padilha FC's Nicolas Hoffmann got control of the ball when Duarte Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tarcisio Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Duarte Ferraz made the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Duarte Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Padilha FC's Nicolas Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hermínio Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 played minutes Gomão EC got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Loyola. The audience was convinced that Duarte Ferraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolas Hoffmann was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Padilha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Ferraz came free, but Nicolas Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natã Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Proença having to interfere. Natã Lucas's late challenge caught a Gomão EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Duarte Ferraz sped through Padilha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Hoffmann. Gomão EC's Tarcisio Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Gomão EC from getting a goal against them. Zézinho Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nicolas Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gomão EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
