With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruninho Santana in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Marques saved Sobral F.C. from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Bruninho Santana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juninho Marques. Sobral F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruninho Santana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruninho Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Juninho Marques made a huge save. After 53 minutes, Dedê Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sobral F.C. and the Chiapetta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sobral F.C.'s Dedê Campidelis got a free kick in the 53rd minute.
