Anderson Queiroz started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Anderson Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anderson Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute Chicão Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kiko Correia came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Palmitinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Correia couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Alexsandro Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Chicão Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Chicão Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Saar was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Chicão Passos sped through MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ralf Saar. Ralf Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE's zone, Chicão Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Saar came out of the goal and Chicão Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Passos in the 45th minute of play forced MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE's goalkeeper Ralf Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Palmitinhos FC's Caio Cunha got control of the ball when Botello Pinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palmitinhos FC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chicão Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. Chicão Passoss short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Ralf Saar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chicão Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ralf Saar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Palmitinhos FC defense, Botello Pinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio Cunha. The Palmitinhos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio Cunha should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Kiko Correia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ralf Saar. That made the score 1-3 in the 63 minute of play. Caio Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Queiroz in the 68th minute of the match. Chicão Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chicão Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kiko Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palmitinhos FC were furious when Silvinho Sousa was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 74th minute, one of Palmitinhos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palmitinhos FC. The referee gave MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Botello Pinto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palmitinhos FC's Caio Cunha. 2-3. Amauri Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Botello Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Botello Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Botello Pinto in the 90th minute of play forced Palmitinhos FC's goalkeeper Caio Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Kiko Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmitinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kiko Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Saar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caio Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Botello Pinto in the 94th minute of the match. Marco Travassos's late challenge caught a Palmitinhos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Travassos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palmitinhos FC booed when MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MARRACHE ESPORTE CLUBE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palmitinhos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
