Dorival Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Teixeira having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Marasco's goalkeeper Cafu de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Fernandez. Cafu de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Fernandez went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ulisses Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Mota in the 42nd minute of the match. Cesinha Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ulisses Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Leão in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cafu de Queiroz saved Marasco from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Edinho Lima put in a rough tackle. Dorival Mota shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Fernandez made a kick off. After 58 minutes, Arnaldo Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deliciosa and the Marasco players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute Ludomil Paciuszko managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Marasco's Dorival Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulisses Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dorival Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Marasco defense, Severino Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cafu de Queiroz. The Marasco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cafu de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Ulisses Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Teles in the 87th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Marasco got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Mota. Ulisses Teixeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Korhan Eğilmez went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute Dorival Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deliciosa's Kauan Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deliciosa's Ulisses Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Mota in the 100th minute of play. Marasco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
