Spectators: 7530 (Terracing: 5649, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) 8 minutes into the game, Duarte Ferraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ulisses Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gilvan Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Arnaldo Leão made a precise shot to the right of Tarcisio Proença. Gomão EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Severino Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tarcisio Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. When Dedê Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gomão EC's protests and gave Dedê Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Gomão EC got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Loyola. Arnaldo Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gomão EC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fabinho Mesquita hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Arnaldo Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Leão in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tarcisio Proença saved Gomão EC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Gomão EC's Davi Bittencourt got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Duarte Ferraz made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Zé Urbano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deliciosa and the Gomão EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Deliciosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Urbano to maneuver through the defense. In the 55thth minute of the game Duarte Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deliciosa's Ulisses Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Deliciosa getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Severino Fernandez hit a great ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gomão EC's goalkeeper Tarcisio Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Arnaldo Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarcisio Proença made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Zé Urbano sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Fernandez got free with Tarcisio Proença in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deliciosa's Zé Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gomão EC's Tarcisio Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Leão in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gomão EC's Dedê Loyola got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tarcisio Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Leão in the 86th minute of the match. Severino Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tarcisio Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Deliciosa's Gugu Bittencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tarcisio Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Deliciosa failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
