The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beto Neves helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of São Paulo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RivotriL FC:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for RivotriL FC. Guto Cerezo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ademar Fontes. 0-1. Ademar Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timo Zapater in the 8th minute of play. Diguinho Fernandez hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Juan de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match, Marcinho Carvalho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiago Sabóia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of RivotriL FC booed when São Paulo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, São Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Severo came free, but Ademar Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Jorge Vieira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of São Paulo FC's Ademar Fontes. Ademar Fontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, São Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Severo came free, but Ademar Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to São Paulo FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Diguinho Fernandez hit a great ball. In the 31st match minute, São Paulo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Timo Zapater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute Carlinhos de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ademar Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Severo in the 36th minute of play. Ademar Fontes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by RivotriL FC's Timo Zapater. But to his dismay, Timo Zapater quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ademar Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Matorin in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, São Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Vieira came free, but Ademar Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Jorge Vieira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademar Fontes. São Paulo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Vieira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half RivotriL FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. São Paulo FC's Ademar Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo FC from getting a goal against them. Carlinhos de Alcântara came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ademar Fontes could save by the left post. In the 57th play minute Sean Chew came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ademar Fontes. 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Vieira got free with Ademar Fontes in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Vieira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. RivotriL FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Carlinhos de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sean Chew kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Jorge Vieira took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademar Fontes. Ademar Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. In the 79th minute, Luís Fabiano Severo made a precise shot to the right of Ademar Fontes. São Paulo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. In the 83rd minute, Diguinho Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademar Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Severo in the 83rd minute of play. Angelo Negri hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, RivotriL FC's Ademar Fontes threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Timo Zapater, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. São Paulo FC's Ademar Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos de Alcântara in the 92nd minute of play. Timo Zapater's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Ademar Fontes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tiago Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Negri in the 95th minute of play. Ademar Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Zapater, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
