The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Veados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Alfredo Maia made a huge save. Giovanni Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dida Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veados's Dida Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Neiva in the 76th minute of play. Dida Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Pontes in the 77th minute of the match. When Fred Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Sport Club Niquito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Arruda couldn't finish the play. Giovanni Pontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Pinheiro having to make a save. Orlando Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Club Niquito had played much better football throughout.
