When Vânderson Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the MILLENNYUM RACING fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vânderson Galvão couldn't finish the play. After 25 minutes of play, Perdidos FC's Zé Pedro Meirelles made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind MILLENNYUM RACING's goalkeeper Laerte Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Perdidos FC's Horácio Vinhas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laerte Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zé Pedro Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laerte Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Pedro Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute Horácio Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, MILLENNYUM RACING's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Vinhas came free, but Laerte Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Perdidos FC's Mário de Medeiros got control of the ball when Vânderson Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line. The MILLENNYUM RACING players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Perdidos FC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Pedro Meirelles made a kick off. Laerte Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Vinhas in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Meirelles got free with Laerte Amorim in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laerte Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Laerte Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Zé Pedro Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Amorim having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Perdidos FC's Horácio Vinhas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laerte Amorim. Laerte Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Zé Pedro Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Amorim having to interfere.
