Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nando Arantes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Renatinho Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anderstrong F.C.'s protests and gave Renatinho Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. 15 minutes into the game, Teodoro Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuiabazinho SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anderstrong F.C. the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Cuiabazinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Toledo to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Nando Arantes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivo da Cunha, 1-0. Teodoro Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 29 minutes of play, Cuiabazinho SC's Paulo Renato Gaúcho made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Cuiabazinho SC defense, Zézinho Vinhas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Trancoso. The Cuiabazinho SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Trancoso should have stopped the shot. Delfim Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivo da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Teodoro Toledo sent off a good shot on target. Teodoro Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ivo da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Nando Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuiabazinho SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renatinho Furtado was the one to do the kick off. Zézinho Vinhas made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cuiabazinho SC's Paulo Renato Gaúcho. Cuiabazinho SC's Delfim Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Vinhas in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zézinho Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delfim Trancoso was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the game, Cuiabazinho SC's Teodoro Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivo da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. After 91 minutes of play, Cuiabazinho SC's Nando Arantes made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 94 minutes of play Cuiabazinho SC's Teodoro Toledo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Cuiabazinho SC's Teodoro Toledo got a free kick in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cuiabazinho SC had won after a very even match.
