Carlinhos Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Sidney Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubens Trujillo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Kauan Veloso sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Raulzito FC's Eliseu Vargas got a free kick in the 13th minute. Rubens Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Carlinhos Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Raulzito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Monteiro couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Caravelas defense, Carlinhos Porto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Massa. The Caravelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Massa should have stopped the shot. Rubens Trujillo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Caravelas's Evaristo Catarinense. But to his dismay, Evaristo Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Raulzito FC's Rubens Trujillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Raulzito FC from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Emanuel Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Raulzito FC's goalkeeper Rubens Trujillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Pitta. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Emanuel Leite put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rubens Trujillo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Catarinense got free with Rubens Trujillo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Porto was the one to do the kick off. Rubens Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Carlinhos Porto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raulzito FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Raulzito FC's zone, Paulo Renato Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Trujillo came out of the goal and Paulo Renato Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rubens Trujillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Leite's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Rubens Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Carlinhos Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Massa having to interfere. Sidney Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A collision led to Raulzito FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Eliseu Vargas hit a great ball. Evaristo Catarinense took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubens Trujillo. Rubens Trujillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. If Evaristo Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
