Spectators: 5717 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alexsandro Siqueira got the match started through his kick off. The audience was convinced that Alexsandro Siqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabinho de Sousa was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Leopoldo Carneiro's late challenge caught a Virtus Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. Leopoldo Carneiro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Alexsandro Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xie Ting Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the E.C CFM defense, Alexsandro Siqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabinho de Sousa. The E.C CFM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabinho de Sousa should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Jailson Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xie Ting Sheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Xie Ting Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Virtus Futebol Clube's Xie Ting Sheng got control of the ball when Dário Oliveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panait Lupșoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabinho de Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. E.C CFM's Fabinho de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Siqueira in the 25th minute of play. When Rodrigue Tron fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Virtus Futebol Clube's protests and gave Rodrigue Tron a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of E.C CFM booed when Virtus Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigue Tron didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Panait Lupșoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virtus Futebol Clube's Panait Lupșoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nico Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walmir Furlan to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Alexsandro Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Carioca in the 54th minute of play forced Virtus Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Xie Ting Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 56th minute of the match Rodrigue Tron completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rodrigue Tron a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gustavo Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 71 minutes, Emerson Vides mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virtus Futebol Clube and the E.C CFM players grew even worse after the yellow card. 72 minutes into the match, E.C CFM's Chiquinho Fonseca broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Xie Ting Sheng came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by E.C CFM's Nico Paiva. But to his dismay, Nico Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Walmir Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Xie Ting Sheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Dário Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xie Ting Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xie Ting Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to Virtus Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Emerson Vides hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Nico Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xie Ting Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Xie Ting Sheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmir Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xie Ting Sheng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. E.C CFM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
