Art Movies Entertainment's Henrique Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Galvão in the 17th minute of play. Sílvio Luiz Vander hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gilmar Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Thomás Xavier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Henrique Bueno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute, Eliézer Arce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chimarrao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Henrique Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Paranaense in the 38th minute of the match. When Cléber Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Art Movies Entertainment fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Furlan couldn't finish the play. Hudson Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Chimarrao were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hudson Silva hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Cacá Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Mathews having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Chimarrao's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Vale came free, but Archie Mathews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Hudson Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Art Movies Entertainment and the Chimarrao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chimarrao booed when Art Movies Entertainment was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Adrianinho Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Thomás Xavier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrique Bueno. After having played for 94 minutes, Oscar Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Art Movies Entertainment's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Art Movies Entertainment lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
