Strutz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ponte de Safena the free kick. After a rather tough play, Strutz FC's Valdomiro Macedo got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Belmiro Dracena reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlinhos Batista. The goal made the score 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Macedo in the 96th minute of play forced Ponte de Safena's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Ponte de Safena could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Strutz FC throughout the match.
