Darley Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oséas Zonta went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When SHINERAY FC - DMZ's Rato Ligero, in the 30th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SHINERAY FC - DMZ. When SHINERAY FC - DMZ's Rato Ligero in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner led SHINERAY FC - DMZ's Noel Barreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Darley Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

After having played for 51 minutes, Rato Ligero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rato Ligero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darley Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rato Ligero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55thth minute of the game Rato Ligero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fumbica FC's Darley Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rato Ligero took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darley Taffarel. Darley Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After having played for 67 minutes, Noel Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rato Ligero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Darley Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's Miguel Catarinense was substituted for Ellis Trenoweth. In the 76thth minute of the game Rato Ligero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fumbica FC's Darley Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Birger Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darley Taffarel having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Fumbica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rato Ligero came free, but Darley Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Rato Ligero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darley Taffarel. Fumbica FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rato Ligero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After having played for 89 minutes, Rato Ligero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rato Ligero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darley Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rato Ligero in the 91st minute of play. Rato Ligero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darley Taffarel having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rato Ligero in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darley Taffarel saved Fumbica FC from getting behind. There was no doubt that SHINERAY FC - DMZ were the better team. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
