Despite this Diguinho Tinoco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 15 minutes into the match, Academia VSKG's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho de Toledo came free, but Diguinho Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academia VSKG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliézer Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half Chimarrao were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Guga Capixaba made the kick off in the second half. Thomás Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Diguinho Tinoco made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Academia VSKG's César Aguiar got a free kick in the 54th minute. Diguinho Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betinho de Toledo in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Academia VSKG's Diguinho Tinoco got control of the ball when Betinho de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Thomás Xavier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diguinho Tinoco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Diguinho Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tales Moreira in the 83rd minute. Diguinho Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Galvão in the 86th minute of the match. Guga Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Betinho de Toledo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Diguinho Tinoco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Academia VSKG fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chimarrao were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
