After having played for 6 minutes, Valdomiro Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strutz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdomiro Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Francisco Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Macedo in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Strutz FC's Valdomiro Macedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco Félix. Francisco Félix yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Francisco Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlinhos Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Edinho Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Carlinhos Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Godoi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to G E Gálatas getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Josué Godoi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in G E Gálatas's zone, Gernando de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Félix came out of the goal and Gernando de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrianinho Montenegro hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see G E Gálatas's Pedro de Brito in action when he in the 30th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Edinho Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Carlinhos Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G E Gálatas. In the 35th minute, Sydney Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Isaltino Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strutz FC's protests and gave Isaltino Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of G E Gálatas booed when Strutz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Murilo Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-0 became the score in the 42nd minute when Bernardo Bertassi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luiz Fernando Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Batista having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Valdomiro Macedo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Strutz FC's zone, Edinho Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlinhos Batista came out of the goal and Edinho Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Strutz FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Valdomiro Macedo hit a great ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Luiz Fernando Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G E Gálatas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Bertassi during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Strutz FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bertassi. In the 59th minute, Luiz Fernando Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rdth minute of the game Valdomiro Macedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but G E Gálatas's Francisco Félix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Luiz Fernando Quirino notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Strutz FC's Carlinhos Batista. Carlinhos Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Bernardo Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Macedo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of G E Gálatas's Francisco Félix. Francisco Félix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Bernardo Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82nd play minutes Valdomiro Macedo shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Francisco Félix and just under the crossbar into goal. José Augusto Neiva hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Luiz Fernando Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
