After 19 played minutes Chimarrao got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Arce. A collision led to Chimarrao getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Simão Simão hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Alberto Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Vítor Santos was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Betinho de Toledos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got José Vítor Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 28th match minute, Alma Castelhana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Betinho de Toledo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 45 minutes into the match, Alma Castelhana FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliézer Arce. José Vítor Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Penha in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Luiz Guilherme Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Vítor Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto Carvalho went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Betinho de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Santos having to interfere. José Vítor Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer Arce struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. José Vítor Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chimarrao. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Penha in the 69th minute of play forced Alma Castelhana FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Eliézer Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chimarrao were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Alma Castelhana FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Betinho de Toledo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Chimarrao's corner Betinho de Toledo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and José Vítor Santos quite easily take care of the ball. If Simão Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Alma Castelhana FC's Robinho Perez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Archie Mathews. That made the score 3-1 after 84 minutes of play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Betinho de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alma Castelhana FC's José Vítor Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Archie Mathews showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Perez in the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chimarrao had played much better football throughout.
