Wágner Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Mineiro in the 46th minute of the match. Emanuel Perez scored 2-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wágner Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nildo Motta was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Caco Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Júlio Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Imperatriz - MA getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fabrício Leme hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Adalberto Vargas with Ezequiel Castro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Júlio Mineiros short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Wágner Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 97th minute Nildo Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Nautico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Imperatriz - MA.
