Niels Pierewaaijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Saraiva in the 19th minute of the match. Caio Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 29 minutes, Caio Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Distra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Distra's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Saraiva came free, but Niels Pierewaaijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Distra fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Distra's Willian Paranaense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
